Apple TV+/Library Content Buffering Issues

Is anyone else having streaming issues (buffering and low streaming quality) with Apple TV+ and Library content in the Apple TV 4K and MacBook devices the last couple days?

I tried watching Echo Valley and Dune Part One last night and the video quality was so awful I kept restarting it. Today I was able to watch Dune in 4K resolution without a problem but Dune Part Two wouldn’t even start playing or pause suddenly. It’s weir cause Apple usually has amazing streaming quality

I’m having the exact same issues as you guys have described. Since it seems like it’s a problem with Apple’s servers, I expected a ton of people to have this complaint but I’m not seeing it. Initially I thought it was my ISP (Verizon Fios) but everything else is fine.

Since my Apple TV 4K is up to date and I’ve restarted it, I can’t think of what else to do. I asked for a refund for the movie I rented (haven’t heard back on the status of that), but everything else that I’ve tried to stream that’s coming from Apple has this problem.

This has been happening to me in NYC for 3 days and I've tried everything to fix it. I even did a clean Reset of the Settings. Every other app/channel other than Apple-centric content plays fine in full 4k. My Fios wi-fi and ethernet are running well.

Every Apple Show and all Apple Library content plays in SD quality with a long load time. Looks frightening on my 4K Oled TV, like a bad VHS tape copy of a copy from 1980.

Apple servers are obviously compromised. They should give us a refund for the lost service days. Apple One is pricey and this had not been even mildly-passable service.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m also in NYC and using Verizon FiOS internet. I noticed that when my router switches from 5G to 2.5G it lowers the speed, though switching back to 5G didn’t really fix the problem. Apparently, Apple uses a high bit-rate compared to other streamers so it needs a strong/consistent connection. My friend suggested disabling DFS channels on MyVerizon app, and guess what? No more streaming issues. Now, it’s possible that Apple’s servers are getting strained, especially in the weekends, since they’re adding a lot of Apple TV+ subscribers

Just to be clear, my issue was specifically related to a physical Apple TV box [newest 4k Gen] getting 1 Gigabit Fios WiFi [installed less than a year ago] that had not been switched to an alternate connection speed at any time. I don't use the My Verizon App for anything related to streaming.

My entire issue was related specifically to Apple streaming their own Apple TV+ channel content and the Movies [many of which are 4K] and TV Shows [some of which are 4K] purchased from the Apple Store. I stream exclusively through this newest generation external 4K Apple TV box.

All other channels/apps running on this external 4K AppleTV [Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney, etc...] were squeaky clean, beautiful 4k streams with Dolby Atmos [when available from the provider].

My Apple content and Library has improved in the last few days. I agree that there must have been a Server malfunction, but it does seem to be resolving.
