How do you scroll fast to the end of a big album in Photos for iOS?

I have some albums with thousands of pictures in them.

Until iOS 17 you could very easy scroll to the end of an album with just one tap the same way you can still scroll to the start by just tapping the upper left area where the clock resides on the iPhone. To do this you just needed to tap the album icon at the bottom of the old Photos app. This icon isn’t present anymore on the new Photos version that came with iOS 18.

i now find myself having to scroll manually through thousands of pictures to reach the end, a very cumbersome way to do something that was so simple in previous iOSs.

The fastest way I have found to do this simple task now is to bring up the lateral scroll bar to the right of the Photos app and using my finger to move the bar to the bottom. It works, but it is not near as fast as the one tap action we had before.

Anyone with some help about this? I really appreciate it.

I'd just flick my finger really really fast…

The thing is, the whole point of an album is to divide pictures up into smaller sections so you don't have to do that. Had you thought about dividing those pictures up into several albums, and putting the albums into a folder? For instance, I have hundreds of albums, but they're in folders and the folders are in folders.

Sorry-- I know that's not what you asked…
