How do I change the Audio Input Device for an already created track in Logic Pro for Mac?

I'm new to Logic Pro for Mac, so this might have an obvious solution but I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure it out unsuccessfully. Essentially, I have a project in Logic Pro, with "Mic or Line" track types. I was trying to figure out where I can see which input device (which of my microphones) are assigned to an already created track. Three different microphones are connected to my Mac: MacBook Mic, EarPods Mic, USB Mic. Here's where I've been looking:

Mixer Input Setting: no, it only says "Input - Input 1" but doesn't actually show which of my microphones the track is using.

Inspector: no, I don't see the name of any of my microphones here.

Track Menu: no setting to show or change the microphone source here either!

So my questions are the following:

1 - Where can I see which of my microphones (MacBook Mic, EarPods Mic, USB Mic) is assigned to an already existing track in Logic Pro?

2 - How do I change which of my microphones (MacBook Mic, EarPods Mic, USB Mic) is assigned to an already existing track in Logic Pro?

3 - What if I for example want to record with EarPods Mic on Track 1 and record with USB Mic on Track 2, is it possible to have two separate microphones assigned to two different tracks and record with them simultaneously?

Thank you EddieGrey for your great explanation and very helpful GIF.

The "Input Device" setting you showcase changing in the Logic Pro Settings-window seems to be a global setting for Logic Pro though, so it seems like you can't change the Input Device for different individual tracks (even though you can, just like you say, have different Ins assigned to different tracks as long as they're connected to the same device). Is this why you recommend that I specify the correct input device in the New Tracks dialogue window, since it's kind of hard to change them for individual tracks after they've been created?

Sir,

You first have to assign the proper Input and Output to get to where you need to go.

Inputs will only show up once you assign the Input and Output Device.

Are you using an interface?

Once you change the device, you will start seeing how many Inputs this unit has. For example, if you have a Scarlett interface. These units typically have 2 Ins so when I select it inside of my Input and Output device now I will be able to use it effectively. The Audio track will now show me 2 inputs.

To access my USB Mic, I will set my Input to the name of Mic (Yeti, Blue, etc.). Once Logic recognizes it, I then go to the Audio Track type and then I will see 1 input which corresponds to the Mic.

Your 3rd question is more complicated and requires further explanation. You should be able to do this , you will have to look into creating an “Aggregate Device”.

Tip: when recording tracks simultaneously, be sure to create the 2 tracks inside of the New Tracks dialogue window and record enable them from this menu first.

Reach out if you have any more questions.

Hello Eddie and sorry for my late reply. I can explain what I'm currently trying to do a bit better: I have two USB-microphones connected to my MacBook Air M1 (USB Mic 1 to USB-port 1 & USB Mic 2 to USB-port 2) and I want to record a podcast where I record each microphone on a separate track simultaneously in Logic Pro.

How do I do this considering, just like you say, I can only have one of the USB Mics selected in the "Input Device" setting in the Logic Pro Settings-window. Is this something the "aggregate device" you're referring to would help me achieve? If yes, then I would kindly ask for your help.
