Wireless Car Play not working after iOS 18.5 Update
I recently purchased a new Chinese vehicle, Omoda C5 GT. I had paired my iPhone 15 Pro Max to the vehicle wirelessly with any issues. It worked brilliant. Thereafter, when the iOS 18 rollout came about, I started to have problems with the wireless CarPlay connection frequently dropping. It so happened that I upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, now I can’t get CarPlay to work wirelessly at all and with this being a brand new phone out the box. Restored all my data through icloud and tried, the phone refused to connect wirelessly to the vehicle. I then did a factory reset and erased everything and tried CarPlay without restoring any of my data and my iPhone still refuses to connect to CarPlay wirelessly. It connected perfectly through cable. This is definitely a software issue with iOS 18.5. I even tried all the tips and tricks I could find online and on this forum but nothing works.
I really hope you guys at Apple are working on a fix for this because it’s really frustrating.
