iMessage not working on my iPhone SE 2nd gen

iMessage suddenly stopped working today. The toggle switch Im settings was/is on. I’ve tried switching toggle off and turning off phone and then turning both phone toggle back on based on a previous post with no luck. iPhoneSE 2, any suggestions?
