I want pages to display ONE page, not two which are side-by-side. How do I inactivate side-by-side display?

I'm running Pages 13.2 on an iMac that's running on Sequoia 15.5

Single page view skips every even page in preview Entering full screen mode to view a pdf in Preview results in page 1 on its own but page 2 and 3 side by side onwards, as mentioned in the previous post. Right clicking to bring up the menu to select single page view makes page 2 appear on its own, but then pressing the down arrow or left arrow key to move to the next page jumps to page 4. It doesn't seem to want to do the simple 30 year old task of displaying one page at a time in sequential order! How do I make this modern Mac work like a normal computer again.

View > Zoom > One Page
