Stop auto play on safari iOS 18

My new iPhone 16 plus (18.3.2) has a learning disability… or maybe a behavior issue. It’s unreasonably difficult to turn off autoplay in Safari, especially where Facebook is concerned. Every suggestion I’ve seen mentions a setting or option that is no longer there.

Does anyone have a proven “off switch” for autoplay in Safari for iOS 18? I’d rather not download a third-party app for disabling autoplay, thanks.

Stop autoplay please ! ! ! Someone at google has messed up youtube, so that when you go to youtube.com it will start autoplaying videos on the front page. After it has finished autoplaying a video it will jump to the next video and start to autoplay that as well. If you scroll down the page it will start to autoplay those videos as well ! ! ! It is so incredibly annoying and frustrating. HOW do you stop this? Stop autoplay of video on iPad I listen to music on my iPad and whenever I go to a website that has an embedded video, the music turns off and the video audio plays instead. I have followed the instructions to go Settings —> Accessibility —> Per App Settings —> Safari —> Auto Video Previews —> Off. This does not work even though it sounds like it should. Is there another way? I have searched for answers on the web and have not found anything that works. Is there an ‘official’ answer from Apple? This is beyond annoying!
