The iPhone stopped working after the update.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro and I tried to update the new software. The phone then turned off and won’t turn back on. I went to buy a replacement and got an iPhone 16 Pro, but the same thing happened again — and now neither of them will turn on. It's already very late in my country and nothing is open. I don't know what to do — can anyone help me with this, please?

If by “the new software” you mean iOS 26 you bricked your phone with a very buggy first beta testing release, which is only available to developers. So the version you got may have been bootlegged, and might not even be a genuine Apple software build.

Here is what you can try to do→Apple Beta: Restore Shipping Software

If that doesn’t work you are out of luck.

Last night, I received a notification about a software update on my iPhone 15. I started the update but fell asleep, and I think the phone may have run out of battery during the process. When I woke up in the morning, the phone wouldn’t turn on. I plugged it into the charger, but it still wouldn’t start — it just kept restarting throughout the entire day.

I went to a service center, but they refused to look at it without an appointment. So I bought a new iPhone 16 Pro, and everything seemed fine at first. However, on my way home, as soon as I signed into my iCloud account, the same issue happened again.

At the moment, the new phone is slowly downloading a software update.
