iTunes remote not connecting - windows 11
I have a windows 11 PC with iTunes v12.13.7.1. After the windows 2H24 update, iTunes remote would connect to iTunes only when I re-connected it, but it would not stay connected.
I recently solved this problem (on my PC). It is not an Apple problem. Windows either changed or strengthened the restrictions on programs interacting with the "system."
I launched services.msc and located Bonjour Service. I checked the box "Allow service to interact with desktop" in the Log On tab (see below).
I also added Bonjour Service to the firewall exceptions.
I am not sure if both were needed, but it worked for the first time in over 6 months since I made these changes. And it has stayed working for several weeks now.
I hope this can help someone else who has had this problem.
