How to remove the safari recently deleted tabs on iphone

When you long press the plus in safari on iPhone it has a bunch of recently closed tabs, I’ve deleted my search history multiple times but those “recently closed” tabs from 2021 still remain. Anyone know how to remove these?

Safari tabs and history gone I suddenly opened my safari and all my tabs were gone. I didn’t close them at all. This also never happened before, all my tabs were always there whenever i’d open Safari. Both public and private tabs are gone. And all the history on Safari as well (when I searched for a tab in recently closed, nothing showed. It was blank). I don’t know how that happened. How can I get my tabs back?? Thank you. For info, i have an iPhone 11 with iOS 17.4.1

Safari- Bookmarks, History, Tabs O.K. So I’ve just upgraded to an iPhone 15 (and first off, I hate how many changes it has to my old version. One of these changes is on Safari. When I start searching for something, in the search bar beneath it a bunch of stuff comes up— Bookmarks, History, and Tabs. I can’t find any way to turn this off in Settings and I honestly just don’t want people walking by me to be able to see my browser history while I’m trying to look something up… PLEASE help!! Safari Tabs I am at my wits' end!!! I have tried everything recommended to keep tabs I close CLOSED in Safari on my iphone. I do not use Safari on any other device; the icloud safari is turned off; and i have "close tabs" set to manually. I close the tabs i do not need anymore over and over again and it is completely random when they actually stay closed. FIX THIS!!! If the only solution is to "clear my history" which based off other comments, seems to be not, then you need another fix. Thanks!
