PDF Corrupted/Deleted from iPad Files App
I have an iPad Air (5th Gen) that I use for work purposes. I was marking up a PDF using the files app last week while on the job site. When I got back to the office, I opened the same PDF on my iPad to reference while working on something else. I need that same PDF for this week, however I can no longer open it. I can see the file show up in my "Recents" tab, but when I select it nothing happens. I can't preview the PDF, share it, rename, get info, or do any action to it. My other PDFs work fine. It feels like the file is corrupted, but I can't understand how the file was corrupted when I haven't used my iPad since I last opened that same PDF. This is the 2nd time a PDF has been corrupted on my iPad, forcing me to consider other devices to bring to job sites. Why is this happening, and is there any possible way to recover my PDF?
I have obviously done the basics. Hard restarting iPad, trying to plug in to my desktop to view the file, etc.
