Why does my MacBook Pro 2021 16 inch require frequent restarts for downloads and uploads?

I have only ever had this issue with this laptop since purchasing but it has now gotten worse. I now have to restart my computer several times a day in order for this issue to resolve itself. I have done the clearing cache and cookies, etc. But I cannot download anything or upload anything until or unless I do a full restart. I had an older version of MacBook pro I bought refurbished and had no issues. Now this computer was purchased brand new and has all these issues. I do not have anything I did not have on my previous laptop.

I am currently on macOS Monterey and will be updating soon (apparently auto updates has been turned off?).

This is beyond frustrating as my job and my business requires me to download and upload things regularly and this really slows down my efficiency!
