I posted a message on iPhone section yesterday and today I go to check for answers the post is not there. Is it common for admins to delete posts?

As has been said, a post removed for cause will result in an email from the moderation team explaining why. The email goes to the address associated with your Apple Account/Apple ID. If you do not check that address very often, please do so.
As your fellow end users, we cannot give an exact reason why any post is removed, just the general conditions in the published Terms of Use. Moderators do not respond in the forums.

The hosts will remove anything that is against the forum rules.
If your post was anything about the upcoming version of iOS, that would be why it was removed. Even though Apple announced it yesterday, it's still beta software, and discussing any Apple beta software here is a no-no.

If your post was removed for a TOU violation, you will have received an email from the Hosts explaining why. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Were you the author of the post? Or was it a reply to someone? If it was a reply to someone and their post was removed for cause, you wouldn't get an email.
Review the Terms of Use and try again with necessary changes to avoid any violations. I wouldn't worry too much about not getting an email about removal. It is usually just an information only email that you cannot reply to or discuss the reasons.
