Shows are too dark to watch in Apple TV android app and adjusting system brightness makes very little difference. There appears to be no screen settings in the app. Surely this can't be right?

Android 12 on Motorola Moto g100: Same problem. TV show is on minimum brightness. When I use brightness control bar in system menu, the rest of the phone UI gets brighter, and you can see it, but the actual show and the apple app stay dark. During the actual brightness change, it looks like the app is fighting or overlaying a darker area. When I go to 90 or 100% brightness, suddenly the app turns full bright. But no chance to get in between.
App updated, force quit and cache deleted. Problem persists. Unacceptable. Netflix, Prime, Disney, VLC, all other video and streaming apps work as expected.
Looks good on both my Sony Bravia and Panasonic sets as well. FWIW there are no brightness controls on my Yamaha and Sony Bluray players so I don't see why the ATVs should have them.
