How can I fix my Apple Podcasts episode getting stuck in drafts issue?

My latest podcast episode will not publish. It's stuck in 'drafts.' When trying to edit, the 'publish' button is greyed out so I can't click. I have the correct RSS feed inserted from Spotify, into my podcast's metadata, and all previous episodes have uploaded fine, so not sure what the problem is?

Okay thank you so much for the guidance. I constructed my podcast in Spotify, which automatically feeds to my Apple podcast channel. Meaning I submitted a feed to Podcasts Connect. Here is the apple podcasts preview page: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jessicaannkastner/episodes/Being-Single-At-Social-Events--Plus-Or-Minus-One-e33tjaq

This is my Apple podcast URL: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/free-failing/id1810889178

This is my RSS feed: https://anchor.fm/s/10364c6a8/podcast/rss

Is there any other info. that might help you? I'm fairly new to this, so I really appreciate the help!

The feed doesn't contain any errors which would have caused this. As you say, the most recent episode doesn't show on Apple Podcasts; however it does appear when subscribing on a Mac (Catalina), where the feed is read directly rather than trough Apple Podcasts (as iOS does).

this means that Apple Podcasts is failing to update as it should. Normally the delay is up to two days, but it's been known to be longer. You coujld try contacting Podcasts Help and asking them to refresh the feed: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us

'Publish' button where? If you have once submitted a feed and it's up and running, you need only add new episodes to it and upload (or 'publish') them from the method you are using to create the feed to the server you are using. It will usually take a up to two days to appear on Apple Podcasts.

If there is actually a problem with the episode I obviously can't diagnose that unless you post the URLs of both the feed and your Appoke Podcasts preview page - which you should always do then you have a question.

Thanks Roger. The problem is the episode in apple podcasts connect will not publish. I've added the episode in the same manner that I have all of the previous episodes (clicking 'add episode', filling out the show info and usually it allows you to click "publish") but this time the "publish" button is greyed out. Therefore, the episode is stuck in drafts. I've tried deleting and re-entering the new episode and the same thing happens. I've cross referenced the RSS feed to make sure the podcast is still connecting from its Spotify host to Apple podcasts, and all looks good. I uploaded the new episode on Friday, June 6th which is four days ago so it should have published by now. Any ideas???

You would either be constructing your podcast directly in Podcasts Connect and not using a feed, and having a separate feed in Spotify; or you have submitted a feed to Podcasts Connect. Your description is ambiguous.

All I can do is look at a feed, once you've posted its URL and that of your Apple Podcasts Preview page, and see whether there is an error of some sort in the episode.
