Unable to backup my iPhone 16 Plus even after having free storage on iCloud?

Here is a screenshot of my usage.

Original Title: I have only used 1.9 gb of storage on my iPhone 16+ but cannot backup my phone. I only backup photos, contacts, and passwords. I cannot imagine that 1.9 gb of space requires more than 3 gb to backup. I have read all of the articles. Thoughts?

I think you need to understand the difference between syncing and backing up. If you sync photos, contacts and passwords, they are using space in iCloud. But a backup contains the other data you don't sync with iCloud. If your backup data exceeds the space available, then you need more space. You can buy the next step up in iCloud storage by going to the 50GB plan, which costs $1 per month. Open the Settings App > General > iPhone Storage - how much data is on your iPhone?

Here's how to change your iCloud storage plan --> Buy iCloud+ or upgrade your current storage plan - Apple Support

Consider what you might lose if your iPhone is damaged, lost or stolen. If you don't backup your iPhone, you will still have access to the photos, contacts and passwords you synced with iCloud. No other data will be.
