Apple Watch Series 9 won't turn on after being lost for six months

Hello,

I have an Apple Watch Series 9 that was lost in my house for over six months. I recently found it and tried to charge it using the original charger, but it doesn’t respond.

When I connect it to the charger, the Apple logo briefly appears for a few seconds and then disappears, but the watch doesn’t turn on.

What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?

Thank you.

When you leave Apple products out of charge for extended periods of time, that causes the battery to degrade and if left long enough, can cause it to fall into a deep discharge and never be able to turn on again. That’s also why if you ever plan to be away from your Apple Products for a while, Apple suggests you power it off around half charged. The same reason why Apple Products come like that in the box. But I understand since you lost it you couldn’t have done this.

Try leaving it on the charger for a few hours as when you don’t charge your Watch for a while, it can take extra long to get it running again. If it still doesn’t turn on, your Watch has probably fallen into a deep discharge and needs to have the battery replaced at your nearest Apple Store’s Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
