Screen time password reset on child’s device

Child with an iPad and iPhone, both iOS 18.5

The child knows their iCloud account password, but not the parent’s iCloud passwords.

Somehow the child is able to reset the screen time password. The child does not have access to the parent’s devices.

When the screen time password is reset there is no notification. This is NOT a situation where the child is guessing the screen time password. I rotate that password, but the screen time password will be changed on a daily basis, always to 0000

The iOS 18.5 screen time password notification is not triggered.

I’ve checked both the iPad and the iPhone and there is no option to change the screen time password. In Content and Privacy Restrictions I’ve disabled “Account” changes.

How is the child changing their screen time password?
