Apple Vision Pro battery LED indicator turns off when connected to a power source

Hello, I just purchased my Apple Vision Pro and I have a query about the battery pack indicator when charging. I find that when it is connected to a power source the LED will briefly turn on to indicate charging level and then turn off unless I move it. I thought that it should always be on while charging?

I also find that the LED will turn green if it has more than 50% charge and not when fully charged.

Are these things expected or do I have a deffective battery?

Thank you for any help and guidance

Am no expert in this area, yet your post to this (user-to-user) community deserves some response.

You may want to check the battery's connection : If you haven't seen / followed Apple's guidance already:

Apple Support's article: Connect the battery to Apple Vision Pro - Apple Support has the details.

Eg: says:

"Connect the battery

  1. Insert the power cable into the power connector on the left Audio Strap, with the cord angled slightly upwards.
  2. The dot on the power cable should line up with the white outlined dot on the Audio Strap.
  3. Rotate the power cable clockwise until it locks in.
  4. When the power cable is successfully connected, the light pulses and Apple Vision Pro turns on."

(There is an illustration in the above article, if needed, and "how to" info. for disconnecting te battery)

If the battery's connection is secure, as above:

The online article: Charge the Apple Vision Pro battery and check the battery level - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"The light next to the USB-C port on the battery displays the charge status;

amber means the battery needs to be charged and green means the battery is fully charged.

If the battery is very low on power, the light may flash amber, indicating that it needs to charge before you can use Apple Vision Pro.

Tip: To see the battery light, gently tap or pick up the battery."

For a newly purchased item, (also under warranty): You may want to consult with Apple's experts.
