Battery draining issue in MacBook M2 after macOS 15 update

Hi

the battery drain seems unusual and not normal, I only experienced that since the 15.x update I think.

Have googled and checked but cannot find any satisfactory reply. Have 128 cycles of battery. I have the AlDente app for batter optimisation but when unplugged from power it really drains fast.

Screenshot below have done mere browsing chrome and chat on teams.

Any ideas?

I can not account for your third party app "AlDente"

I would start by uninstalling it and compare your results. macOS built in Battery Health Management software is quite capable of managing your charging.

for your third party app—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…

The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only—this is how you help optimize your battery charging and extend the working life of your battery by reducing the cycle count.

Once you remove your third party app — I would do a quick SafeBoot to clear System Cache files
