How to install and use Ge'ez fonts on MacBook Air 2024 with M3 chip?

MacOS already has a Ge'ez/Ethiopic font, namely Kefa.


To use this font you just activate the right input source in system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources , using the + button at the bottom. Go to the Amharic category and select Ge'ez. When you type with that input source, a Ge'ez font will automatically be used.


To see which key does what, use Keyboard Viewer
