2018 Mac Mini + Windows

I recently acquired a lightly used 2018 Mac Mini. Used macOS 15.5 for about a week. As a lifetime Windows user I found macOS to be a bit awkward to use. I also discovered that I didn't care for the apps macOS comes with. Of course my games didn't work. So after following many tutorials I managed to get Windows 11 installed natively with bootcamp. Windows runs just fine, nice and stable.

My question is simple. Am I missing out on anything by running Windows instead of macOS?

Is PC gaming your only criteria? There are plenty of console games that are better than Windows games but aren't ported to Windows (including a number on Xbox). And a very large number of "Windows" games are ported to macOS - in particular ones from EA, Aspyr and a number of other large studios.

And, as you have discovered yourself, you can run Windows games under Boot Camp (or using some version of Wine, or the commercial equivalent Crossover) - so that solves gaming, and leaves all the rest of computing.

I have no experience using bootcamp. I managed to install Windows from scratch on the Mac. I also have no experience using bootcamp or WINE under macOS to run my games. Too complicated. PC Gaming isn't my only criteria. I just like Windows. macOS just lacks so much out of the box. Especially eye candy. Windows just looks and feels better. My monitor is just a 1080 display. I head macOS looks better on a 4K monitor.
