Why can't I see the Sessions Drummer XY Pad in Logic 11.2 on my new MacBook?

I've updated to the most recent version of logic 11.2 and I'm operating on a brand new MacBook Pro so I am so confused as to why my version of logic doesn't seem to have the grid that you can slide around to edit on when using a session drummer. I would really love to use the grid as it's a great feature, if anyone can help that would be amazing!! please see attached photos.

my version:

The version I want :

If anyone knows how I access it please do let me know because I'm driving myself crazy trying to access it.

Thanks so much :)

Sir,

Logic Pro 11 has had some significant updates. I recommend you jump on board as it is a songwriters/producers dream in my honest opinion.

You would have to roll back to Logic Pro X to get that back and unless you saved a back-up copy, you will probably have a tough time getting an older copy of Logic as the app store does not make it available unless your OS is compatible with that specific version of Logic Pro.

Session Players (Drums, Keys, and Bass) superseded the now retired "Drummer". If you have any more questions, do reach out.
