In Mail App "All Inboxes" Always Scrolls to the Top

This is an incredibly annoying feature but no matter what settings I have in the mail app, when I go to the "all inboxes" view, the app always scrolls to the very top even though I have it set to view latest messages at the bottom. I've tried every possible preference combination and it seems like the app is always going to behave this way. Is there any work around? I have four email accounts and I prefer to see them all in the "all inboxes" view with my latest message at the bottom. It's a small inconvenience I guess but annoying nonetheless!
