why cant apple maps allow you to save locations like google maps

I save locations for photoshoots etc but Apple Maps doesn’t let you do this so I have to save them on Google maps, why doesn’t Apple let you save locations?

First you will want to create a New Guide. This is like a folder of your saved locations and you can name it whatever you want. After you do that, you can add new sites to that Guide either from a Search or a Dropped Pin. I just took a trip to Washington DC and it worked great. I named the Guide "Washington DC" and added all the sites I wanted to visit while I was there.

Create A Guide In Apple Maps

  1. Open Maps.
  2. In the information bar at the bottom of the screen, click on “New Guide” under the “My Guides” section.
  3. Name the Guide.

Add Places To Your Guide Using Search

  1. Open the search bar and type in the location you want to save.
  2. Select the location.
  3. Click “more” on the location’s information bar.
  4. Click on “Add To Guides.”
  5. Select the Guide to save your location.

Add Places To Your Guide By Dropping A Pin

  1. Drop your pin by touching the screen on the location you want to save.
  2. Once the pin pops up, location information will also come into view in a small information bar. Click “more”.
  3. Click on “Add To Guides.”
  4. Select the Guide to save your location.

Not sure what you mean. Every location I visit using Apple Maps is saved in the “recents” tab. Clicking the recents tab opens the location. I can also print or send previous locations to any of my devices.

Explain what you mean.
