Solution for 'MDDCore_Lock_File' taking up storage space on iPhone 12

I see a lot of other users had problems with running out of space and found this unknown file which opens sub-folders: although the issue is closed no solution appears to have been posted, and I find I have the exact same issue now: please advise what solution was given to this 'russian doll' file ?
