Can I replace my iMac with a Mac mini and partition it for separate users?

I have an iMac 21.5 retina, bought late 2015,I intend to replace this with a Mac mini.

Can I partician this so that my wife and I can use it independently,as I do with the iMac?

Also will the Magic Mouse and keyboard from my iMac work?

Any other comments?

Time to replace my 2013 iMac with a new Mac Mini - advice request It is time for a new computer and I think it will be a Mac Mini. As you can see, my current computer is almost 10 years old. to partition the main disk with OS or not ? iMac 27 mid 2011 , High Sierra I did clone the 1 T spinner @ 1 T to SSD external works like charm via Thunderbolt I do not know if it is wide spread , but my experience with windoze is put OS on a separate disk and attach another one as storage , etc ( any corruption or stupid thing one does in windoze , wallop restore from image ; if it's a good practice I do not know , but for me it worked no worries for donkey's years the spinner as well as the clone have Lightroom and Photoshop versions not available anymore if I partition the spinner , with one 250MB partition , on the afore mentioned partition will the OS and relevant software be on it ? I'm seventy and do not have the bottle to replace the spinner with SSD thank you for your patience and good will

macOS allows the creation of independent user accounts which you (the admin) can set privilege levels, up to six accounts last I heard. There is no partitioning. My wife and I have separate accounts as you want. No problem.
