Friend's DND appears turned on when reading chat log on Mac imessage but off when reading same chat log on iphone

iMessages are synced between my MacBook Pro and my iPhone but for some reason, the chat log with one of my friends shows that DND is turned on (blue bar that says notifications are silenced) when viewing on my MacBook but when looking at the same exact synced chat log on my iPhone there is no DND. I have both chat logs open next to each other and they are synced in both incoming and outgoing messages but my computer says DND and my iphone doesn't. Both my friend and I have verified that she does not have a DND focus filter on yet it still appears on my MacBook imessages app.
