Will a US Cellular Apple Watch Series 10 Work in Sri Lanka?

Hi,

I’m planning to buy the Apple Watch Series 10 (cellular version) from the US. However, I currently live in Sri Lanka and want to make sure it will work properly here.

According to Apple’s website, the Apple Watch Series 10 is listed as compatible, and Dialog’s website also mentions that it works well. However, I’m still unsure whether the US cellular model will actually work with Sri Lankan carriers.

So my main question is:

  • Will the US version of the Apple Watch Series 10 (cellular) work in Sri Lanka?

I’d really appreciate any help from someone who has experience using an Apple Watch purchased in the US while living in Sri Lanka.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, that means pulse oximetry does not work outside of US?🥺

Per Apple: The ability to measure Blood Oxygen is no longer available on Apple Watch units sold by Apple in the United States on or after January 18, 2024. These are indicated with part numbers ending in LW/A.

This includes no pulse oximetry in refurbished replacement watches, too.

Whether used within the US, or internationally, or interplanetary, no pulse oximetry on US-sourced Apple Watch.

And there’s also that the warranty and AppleCare coverage are at the discretion of Apple, too.
