Why doesn’t my lost iPhone show up in Find My?

Does it not show up at all or the location of it doesn’t show?
If it doesn’t show up at all, this would indicate Find My wasn’t setup beforehand, which would have needed to be done.
If the location doesn’t show, “Offline” usually means the location was known recently but not now due to either because the battery is dead or it isn't connected to a network for over 24 hours. “No Location Found” means the location was known longer than recently but can’t now due to either not connected to the internet, turned off, or location services have been turned off.
It’s also possible that if your iPhone was acquired by a thief, they would have wrapped it either in tinfoil or a Faraday Pouch, which would prevent it from transmitting it’s location to other devices to update.
If you receive any messages claiming to be from Apple or others, ignore it.
