Unable to sync Calendar App after iOS 18 update - Google Calendar and Apple Calendar

Same problem as described here, but I have not found a solution that works. Has anyone else?? My Google Calendar will not sync with my Apple Calendar! It used to always sync, and events entered on my Apple Calendar would automatically show up on my Google calendar. That is no longer the case. The solution offered by the person in the original thread did not help me.

Affected: iPhone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro. iOS 18.

Also, they really ought to stop closing out discussions here on Apple because there are too many helpful discussion requiring further information that cannot be shared simply because the community doesn't leave the discussions open.
