I updated my iOS to 18.5 last night, and since then, I haven't had access to the messages. I noticed in settings that the imessage option, although enables and "send and receipt" is my email, they are both greyed out and I can't make changes to it.
Also, my icloud and Apple account are both greyed out and I can't access any information there.

Perhaps a long shot:
Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.
I updated a couple of days ago and my iMessage isn't working either. Everything's set as it should be, but I can't send any iMessages, all of my texts are going out either as RCS or SMS texts. It's so annoying.
