Why is my iPhone 14 Pro overheating after iOS 18.5 update?

Just updated to iOS 18.5 on my iPhone 14 pro and it is HOT, Any help?

When you update an iPhone, it has to reindex all the data on the phone, so it may run warmer than normal for a while. If your phone is actually overheating, it will display a thermometer on the phone and tell you it can't be used until its temperature returns to a normal range. If you are not seeing that, your phone isn't overheating.


I would suggest you check its Battery Health as a battery which is degraded can cause more heat issues. Open the Settings App > Battery > Battery Health and see what it shows. If it is near, or below 80%, the battery needs to be replaced.
