Seems there may be conflicting settings on your Mac, which can only work with whatever is set.

It may be best to double-check the settings for MacOS Sequoia.

Apple Support's article: How to use Siri on your Mac

Eg: says:

"Personalise your experience with Siri : The more you use Siri, the better it knows what you need. You can change Siri settings, activate Siri suggestions for apps you use most,"

Another Apple support article: Customise Siri

Eg: says:

"Choose the language and voice Siri uses

You can further customise Siri by choosing the language and voice Siri uses.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Apple Intelligence & Siri (or Siri ) in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Click the pop-up menu next to Language, then choose a language.
  3. Click the Select button next to Voice, then make the following choices in the pop-up menu that appears:
    • Variations
    • Voices"
