My mass storage device folders have red - marks and are empty

Last night I was using my Lacie hard disk to play iTunes through my Bose Revolve. I discovered that my old iTunes folder had far more music than Music on my new laptop.

This morning nearly all the folders on the Lacie have a red minus sign against them and seem to be empty. My new MacBook is away for repair and I am dreading I've lost everything.

SD Card files magically disappeared I was going through several of my SD and microSD cards deleting unnecessary files and I got to the last one - a 256GB SD card (Sandisk). I inserted it and the files came up just fine. I even opened a few. I look away for a few seconds and when i look up, all the files (which were just a handful) are gone. The drive shows up as empty, but the trash is full of THOUSANDS of files i definitely do not remember being on that disk, but on others. It's showing 138gb of space as used, and though I have not emptied out the trash, looking through the files and folders that are in the trash are definitely not the files I had on there. I'm in music production and i typically separate my disks according to the gear I'm using to create projects so it's even more odd that files (For example, Native Instruments software plugins on a disk used with Akai hardware) I'd have never even put on that disk show up in the trash when I insert it. I'm currently running DIsk Drill but so far it's only really looking like it's pull up the aforementioned trash files. I don't even know if anything can be done at this point but in all my years, this tops the list of "WEIRD" Even more odd is that the one file even remotely related to one of the files i'm looking for, is a plist file of the same name.

Disappeared files from iCloud iCloud has managed to simply lose a whole load of files. The folders are still there, but not the files. I've tried all of the suggestions, but to no avail. Whilst speaking to Apple support, I realised that the disappeared files from several folders, all disappeared at exactly the same time (18:51 UK time on 24th April) - my computer wasn't even on at the time! Apple are escalating the enquiry, but I wonder if any else has experienced anything similar happening. And since speaking to Apple, a few random deleted files (not the ones that disappeared)suddenly appeared on my desktop. I've never experienced anything like this before - I've lost years of work - so I'd be grateful if anyone has any ideas or similar experiences to share. Thank you.

Folders in icloud drive got completely empty I got a new macbook pro yesterday and after I transferred data from my old macbook air through the migration app, all my files inside the folders in icloud drive went missing. I don’t see the files on iphone or ipad icloud drive. My folders are empty. Pdf docs vanished. Is there a way to bring them back or should I use google drive and nor trust icloud anymore?
