Can I get my iPhone 16 to stop asking me to set up Siri?

Can I get my iPhone 16 to stop asking me to set up Siri? Every time I open my phone, it asks me to finish setting up Siri. I want to be able to have Siri respond to me but only when I ask it a specific question. I do not want it to be on all the time and listening to me. I use it infrequently at best.

Siri spoken responses setting in ios 18.3.1 I just got an iphone 16 & i am experimenting with siri & apple intelligence & i noticed that it does not speak like i expected it to. it always spoke on my 13 unless i put it on silent. i have the siri responses > spoken responses set to automatic & it does not speak. if i set it to prefer spoken responses it will speak, but i don’t want it to do that when my phone is on silent mode. my question is is there a setting or something that i need to change to get it to speak normally like it did on my old phone? also what does the automatic setting description mean? “siri will use on device intelligence to determine when to speak” what is it basing that decision on? thank you.

Finish setting it up, then set the settings for it the way you want.
