That is correct, not everyone qualifies for installments, you need to buy the product without any program like the Apple employee program or any other programs.

You need of course the available credit, but everyone can make the conversion into installments by contacting customer services they will ask if the purchases was made using a program, how much is the transaction without taxes and the product that was purchased.

If there is an issue making the conversion they will let you know and file a tech issue.

Also contacting Apple Support would be better since they are the ones who can check further the issue in the website, Goldman Sachs agents will just provide you a basic troubleshooting or just transfer to call or chat to apple to help further with issue
