Hello everyone, my left speaker suddenly starting giving a cracking noise. The laptop is just a month old. What should I do? Does warranty cover things like this? I don't have Apple Care. I tried reinstalling the OS. Didn't solve the problem. Tried a bunch of solutions from reddit those too didn't work. Note: I haven't dropped this laptop or any such liquid damage. What should I do now?

Took it to Apple, even they thought it was a hardware issues. But, during their investigation they found it was a software issue. Reinstalling OS didn't help me. They did a clean boot erasing all the data it worked.
There was no repair as such, as soon as they cleaned everything up it fixed itself. My advice would be to take a backup and do a fresh OS install and clean all the data (They would anyways be doing it first). If it fixes it then all good, otherwise take it to Apple. They would replace the speakers.
So I have to submit my laptop twice to service center the first time they changed the speaker but still the problem was there then I submitted it again and I will receive the product on Monday so I will give the update of the product later .
Yes, I have booked a session with Apple (Genius or something) this weekend. Do you think apply would cover this in their one-year warranty? Seems like a manufacturing defect to me. As, I rarely even used this Laptop, no chance of any issues caused due to drops or something.
I started having audio issues with the speakers almost immediately after buying it in Jan 23. It appears to be the right speaker, but who knows. The issue with the speakers seems to be wide-spread, and I've tried all their so-called trouble shooting, to no avail. I've had MacBooks for years and never had a problem, so maybe it's the Air. In any case, speaker replacement seems to be the only solution for me. But for you, you should have at least a 1 year warranty.
So I have received the laptop i didn't got any resolution they told me it's a software issue but I don't think so it is as it's mostly with the mba m4 not the m2 or m3 or even the mbp Idk what to do now im stuck with a MBA m4 with a broken speaker
As it is new, have Apple evaluate as soon as possible. If you bought a new computer, you have Apple's free one-year warranty.
We are your fellow end users and cannot speak for what Apple might do. I've not needed any warranty work in the 30+ years we've used Apple products, so cannot extrapolate from personal experience.

I also had the same problem just today I submitted my macbook to the nearest apple service center they told me to come after 10 days lets see what happens
