When I import a folder of images to a iMovie project they lose their order by filename. (I have numbered them to establish the order.) Is there a simple way to tell iMovie to sort them by filename?

Hi,
One cannot sort clips in the timeline, except by manually arranging them.
In an event or in the Project Media pane you can select the clips as a batch and do a View/Sort by Name. Then they should retain their order when you place them into the time line as a batch.
