How to move my Apple Music subscription from Google Play to Apple?

When I was still on Android, I subscribed to Apple Music at Google Play.

Now I'm on iOS, but I'm paying my subscription still via Google.

The price is the same - but it would be nicer if I can manage everything in my Apple account.

Is there a way to move gapless, without losing my playlists etc.?

Maybe cancel it at Google, and order it through the Appstore again when it is still active?

Thanks

Martin

The Apple Music subscription is usually tied to an Apple Account and paid through Apple from there.

If you are paying directly through Google Play, then you need to cancel it from there and re-subscribe through an Apple device that is logged in to the Apple Account you want to use for it.

Do note, any albums, tracks or playlists you have from the subscription service may be removed when the subscription is cancelled, and would need to be manually reacquired or recreated.

So I finally cancelled my Apple Music subscription managed by Google. Apple support told me too that I will lose my playlists etc. and that they can't help.

For this worst case, I installed an app called Hezel, for backing up everything.

To my surprise, it wasn't necessary. When the Google subscription ended, Apple Music asked if I'd like to continue - managed by my Apple account.

I confirmed that, and everything was still there!
