what is the charging on 30 watts?

The same as a 20W adapter, if you are charging with a cable. Even if you use a higher wattage power adapter, your iPhone won't charge any faster. You will still be achieving Fast Charging. Your iPhone regulates the charge that goes into it and 20W is just the minimum. The simple answer is the same and it won't make a difference.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max can be charged up to 50% in around 30 minutes using a 20W or higher adapter with a USB-C charging cableor a 30W adapter or higher with MagSafe Charger. The phone can also be charged up to 45W via wired charging using a USB-C power adapter.

Elaboration:

  • Fast Charging: The iPhone 16 Pro Max supports fast charging, allowing for a quicker charge than standard charging.
  • Optimal Charging: For optimal charging speeds, use a 20W or higher USB-C power adapter paired with a USB-C to Lightning cable or a 30W adapter paired with a MagSafe Charger.
  • Charging Speed: With the recommended chargers, the iPhone 16 Pro Max can be charged up to 50% in about 30 minutes.
  • Wireless Charging: MagSafe wireless charging supports up to 25W with a 30W adapter or higher.
  • Full Charge Time: A full charge typically takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes.
