Why does Apple Music pause or stop playing audio in my car?

I drive a G37 that I use wired to listen to music. But for some reason when I use apple music, it can cut out or can just straight up display that the track is playing but not actually sending it to the speakers. I don’t have this issue on literally any other music or audio app, I’m on ios 18.5 and has been going on across OS’s and across Iphones that I’ve owned.

Apple Music on Android Auto When playing Apple Music on Android Auto (from an Android phone), a song will play for a few seconds before going mute (although the status bar indicates it is still playing). The only workaround is to then pause and play the song and the audio comes back. This happens about 50% of the time, other songs play just fine (there seems to be no pattern on which songs go silent). I am using AA on a 2019 Honda Accord. Any thoughts on a fix?

"Playback source not available" I have a Chevy Trax. When I plug in the phone, it tells me, "playback source is not available." (I can't play music from any apps. If its not plugged in, they work. I can still use maps and other -- non-music -- apps.) This never happened with my old (Android) phone, so it must have something to do with the iPhone, and not the car's audio system. Do I need to do something in the settings? (I know some stuff doesn't work when the car is moving, but this happens even when parked.)

AUX USB only works if iphone pays for apple music Hi, I have tried looking at different threads and cant find this same issue or answers that help me. So I do not have an apple music subscription; so, I am not signed into that app and instead use Spotify. When I try to connect our car’s aux usb the screen says that there are no compatible files to play and will not let me play music from spotify. It does work with bluetooth and with iphones that do pay for apple music. I have an iphone 14 and the latest ios, plus, this also has happened with older iphone models. Our car is a 2018 toyota 4runner and the same issue occurs with other toyota cars at least past 2015. Does anyone know how to fix this without paying for apple music(a long term solution w/o using free trials and bluetooth)? Much appreciated!!
