Visual intelligence never worked on my iPhone 16e

First off, Visual Intelligence is a feature powered by Apple Intelligence. Have you confirmed you support it and it’s fully installed?

• Is both your Device Language and Siri Language set to the same supported language? Below is the list of supported regions and languages that follow.

Apple Intelligence is available on supported iPhone, iPad, and Mac models in Chinese (Simplified), English (Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, UK, and US), French (Belgium, Canada, France, Switzerland), German (Austria, Germany, Switzerland), Italian (Italy, Switzerland), Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Chile, Mexico, Spain, US).

Note that devices sold in Mainland China currently do not have Apple Intelligence.

It’s supported on the 16e. Try adding it to control center and launching it that way.
