brand new Magic Trackpad does not show up in system settings.

magic trackpad does not show up in system settings. does show as bluetooth connected and can use somewhat but does not scroll, highlight or copy and paste. Since it is not there, don't have a way to change options. Read a few other posts and this seems to be a common problem. Need a solution, please.
