Again. Stop wearing it and go see your doctor.
It has everything to do with "going to see a doctor".
I don't know what you find "disrespectful" about that answer.
You have a medical problem, not a technical problem.
If a light next to your skin is causing you pain, you need to have that evaluated by a qualified medical professional.

I have a strong suspicion you don't believe in science.

That is up to them, concentrate on your perceived problem . Don't get sucked into the compensation class action tribe.
It has nothing to do with "going to see a doctor".
It does because the reaction is very rare and suggests your skin has a problem.

How exasperating this is. Again the question was posed”…has anyone else experienced discomfort after wearing the watch”.
Polls and surveys are prohibited by the Apple Support Community Terms of Use.
You don't have a technical question for the community. Please move on.
Then how do you explain your suspicions that the watch is causing bone spurs?
The watch has nothing to do with it.

A suspicion is not a conclusion. Coming to a conclusion prior to examining all of the evidence is not scientific. Sorry.
While sensitivity to the green pulse rate detection LED is a possibility, there are others.
Avoid the perceived direct cause, collect evidence, and consult a medical specialist.
Or contact Apple directly, as was posted here several times.
Whatever. Good luck.

I absolutely believe in science. I also pay attention to evidence (just like science)
An N of 1, while it may be helpful in generating a hypothesis, is rarely considered good evidence.
Once I remove the watch, then the discomfort stops. Obviously, from other community notes; others have experienced the same thing with these Apple Watches. It has nothing to do with "going to see a doctor". Let's be RESPECTFUL when commenting on the Apple Community page!
Last year I experienced “frozen shoulder” in my left arm. I suspected it was caused by turning my arm to look at the watch or maybe the watch itself. I removed watch and after a few weeks resumed wearing but on my right wrist. I saw a doctor, had a mri and was diagnosed with tendinitis. My symptoms gradually improved and are now gone. However about 2 weeks ago I noticed a bone spur developing on my right distal thumb knuckle and yesterday another on the proximal joint. Both were tender. I have decided to stop wearing my watch altogether. The pain is beginning to alleviate. I will report back in a few days. I have strong suspicion that the watch is the culprit.
N is not = to 1 when several people are observing nerve related phenomena in relation to something. I was merely providing my experience to be considered. I have informed Apple of my concern. Thank you

Anecdotes are also not best evidence. It's always a good idea to go into any kind of troubleshooting, whether hardware or wetware, with an open mind. Never try to make the evidence fit a presupposition.
