Why is my FaceTime photo button grayed out after update?

After a short time my the button to take a FaceTime photo will get grayed out and say the other device needs to allow photos but both devices have the setting turned on, I didn’t have this issue until the recent Apple update.

Cannot turn off Facetime camera. Every time I have a FaceTime call with my friend, this always happens; I can’t turn off my FaceTime camera. Even if you click it, nothing happens. It stays that way.

Why won’t my FaceTime Live Photos work? When I press the button to take a Live Photo on FaceTime it says that I took the Live Photo but when I go to my camera roll it, it doesn’t show up anywhere, not even the Live Photos album
