Default iPad keyboard overrides Swift Key

I have installed the swift key keyboard on my iPad Air 5 running is 18.5. Swift key is set to full access and the default keyboard has been Uninstalled (or at least removed from the keyboard list in settings.).

But still, every time I start up my iPad, for several minutes the old iOs keyboard will pop up every two seconds or so, making it impossible to use my keyboard of choice. Please help me stop this!
