No option for inline predictive text under keyboard>Input>Edit in Mac OS 13

There is no option for inline predictive text under keyboard>Input>Edit in Mac OS 13.7.6.


I tried typing “Predictive” in the Settings search box, but this does not help.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 13.7

From what I can find


In-line predictive text was made available in macOS 14 Sonoma and above


Can not independently verify this, running macOS 15 Sequoia


Get typing suggestions and correct mistakes on Mac


As you type in an app, predictions that complete the word or phrase you’re typing appear inline in gray. Press the Space bar to accept a prediction, or keep typing to ignore it.
