Lately, I've been getting an error on Firefox using Yahoo after clicking a news article. I've tried everything—clearing the cache and cookies, even switching to Chrome, and the same error. Safari works fine. I'm on macOS 10.13.6. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix that doesn't involve updating the OS, which I’m not planning to do. Thanks.

The only thing I can think is they are using some newer codec common with Bluray composition. The best thing you can do is reach out to the author of the video and ask them to redo the video as a standard MPEG-4 compression technique.
Unfortunately some sites use Windows Media video codecs that only Windows can manage.
That code is usually for Youtube to run a Bluray Player. Bluray is not natively supported by Mac OS.
