How to restore a specific blog entry from Time Machine?

I have a personal blog that contains short essays. I accidentally replaced the text of a certain entry with the wrong text. Recreating it will be daunting. Is there a way to use Time Machine to go back a couple of days to the correct version?

In Time Machine, what is the difference between pure red bars for backup dates, and dull red bars? I am attempting to restore an old file from one of my backup drives. The backup drive has been in frequent use since 2017; I want a file from that year. However, when I go into Time Machine, it shows backups from recent weeks with solid red bars underneath the dates presented in a vertical row along the right side of the screen. It shows older backups with dull red bars, and does not respond to my attempts to recall those backups. I am supposed to know that dull red bars indicate files that are backed up but are not accessible by me? Or that dull red bars indicate that Time Machine will need some time to recover those files? Or that Apple changed the format of files for Time Machine at some point without providing any means of translating old files? I am unable to find any documentation on Time Machine that explains the difference between dull red bars and bright red bars.

Cannot Restore Yesterday's Version of a File I use Time Machine to back up my MacBook Pro M1 hourly, alternately to one or the other of my two 8TB Oyen Digital USB-C drives. Yet when I browse the backups of a file, I'm presented with three choices, none of which are older than the original. ALL the rest of the backups going back 8 months are GRAYED OUT. Have I been using Time Machine for nothing? Is it a matter of waiting a little longer than 30 minutes? What's going on?

Time Machine on MacBook Pro 2023 fI am having a problem with the way it is looking and I wonder if there is a way to go back a day or 2 on the Time Machine. I don't know if I accidentally fooled with a thing on the way it does things somewhere. I have been looking at the things and I just cannot tell what I did for it to do it. It just does not do what it has always been doing since I had it for the past few months. Is there a way to go back with the Time Machine to a previous date? Carol

That depends on what software you're using to author and publish your "blog" and how and where it stores its files...

You need to reach out to them. Unless you're saving files locally that are being uploaded, they aren't being backed up to Time Machine at all.

I use Squarespace for my websites and blog. I haven't reached out to them yet and thought this would be a good place to begin.
